About IM4Q PDF Print E-mail

The Director of the IM4Q program is Suson Akakpo-Martin. IM4Q is a statewide initiative, funded by the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) that provides consumers of intellectual disability services a means to express their level of satisfaction with the services they receive as well as an opportunity to play an active role in improving their quality of life. This is accomplished by monitoring the satisfaction and outcomes of people receiving services.

The CILCP (Center for Independent Living of Central Pennsylvania) has been selected to administer the Independent Monitoring for Quality Program in Dauphin, Cumberland, Perry, Huntingdon, Mifflin and Juniata counties. The term “independent” means that the IM4Q Program is not a provider of certain types of services to persons with intellectual disabilities.

Independent Monitors, trained by CILCP, gather information by interviewing consumers using a standardized survey instrument. The IM4Q survey indicators are organized into the areas of individual satisfaction, dignity and respect, choice and control, inclusion, and physical setting.
