Prudential Thompson Wood Real Estate Donates
$6,312 to Center for Independent Living
Leading Central Pennsylvania real estate company aims to
help local residents with disabilities

(Camp Hill, PA) - In an effort to assist the local
community, Prudential Thompson Wood Real Estate presented a
check for $6,312 to the Center for Independent Living of
Central Pennsylvania (CILCP) on Tuesday, May 25, 2004.
CILCP is a non-profit organization committed to enhancing
the lives of people with disabilities through the
elimination and prevention of barriers they experience.
Offering services to people with disabilities living in
Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry, Mifflin and Juniata counties,
CILCP also assists families of people with disabilities,
community service providers, governmental agencies and
private businesses.
Thompson Wood hosted an annual Christmas auction to
generate funds for a local organization with a proven track
record of benefiting the community. "Every year we choose an
organization and donate the proceeds generated from the
auction to them. The Center for Independent Living is an
excellent organization that helps many Central
Pennsylvanians," said Vi Thompson, President of Prudential
Thompson Wood Real Estate.
Consisting of 35 real estate professionals, all of whom
are relocation specialists, Thompson Wood is among the
largest Prudential Real Estate Affiliates in Central

According to CILCP, the donation will be used to enhance
the organization's many services including independent
living training, attendant care, community advocacy and
monitoring the quality of living for persons with mental
retardation, as well as consumer employer payroll services,
providing housing opportunities for people with disabilities
and a training/outreach project.

The Center for Independent Living of Central Pennsylvania
