COMMUNITY TO ADDRESS NEEDS OF PEOPLE WITH
DISABILITIES
Center for Independent Living of Central PA to hold
public meeting in Carlisle on August 12

(Camp
Hill, PA) - Residents of the Carlisle area will gather
on Thursday, August 12 to discuss ideas, concerns and
suggestions to address the needs of people with disabilities
in their communities.
There will
be two public meetings held by the Center of Independent
Living of Central Pennsylvania at the West Penn Street
Apartments in Carlisle. The first meeting will run from 3-5
p.m. the second will go from 6-8 p.m.
"Our goal
is to get positive feedback from a number of community
members to see what can be done to improve living
conditions," Theotis Braddy, CILCP Executive Director says.
"We believe that open communication in this type of public
forum is an excellent way to create new ideas."
During the
public meetings people in the community will have the
opportunity to express their thoughts on the current
conditions they think hinder or help people with
disabilities. CILCP aims to develop new ideas to improve the
community for all residents.
CILCP is
dedicated to improving the lives of people with
disabilities. The organization is run and administered by
people with disabilities. CILCP's mission is to break down
the barriers that people with disabilities face.
The
Carlisle meetings are being held at the West Penn Street
Apartments at 2 West Penn Street in Carlisle. They are open
to anyone interested. CILCP will be holding similar meetings
in Mifflintown on August 17, Elizabethville on August 18,
Camp Hill on August 24, and New Bloomfield on August 26. For

The Center
for Independent Living of Central Pennsylvania is a
