THE CENTER FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING OF CENTRAL PA
WELCOMES NEW DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES TO
ORGANIZATION
(Camp Hill, Pa.) - The Center for Independent
Living of Central PA (CILCP) welcomes Karen White as the
first director of human resources for the organization.
CILCP is a nonprofit, nonresidential organization serving
persons with disabilities, as well as their family members,
community service providers, governmental agencies, and
private businesses.
As the director of human resources, White will manage the
responsibilities of developing policies, coordinating human
resources activities, overseeing employee services and
employee recruitment, and implementing changes towards the
state and federal government.
"This is the first time we've had a human resources
person on our team. She has shown herself to be
extraordinarily adept at evaluating and meeting our staffing
and training needs. She is a wonderful compliment to our
staff and management team," stated Janetta Green, director
of operations.
White has over twelve years of human resource experience
in industries such as retail, publishing and computer
software. Prior to joining CILCP, she worked as a human
resource manager for a health science publisher, helping to
improve the employee services programs.
White is a native of Saginaw, Mich. and earned her
bachelor's degree in business administration and management
at Eastern Michigan University. She currently resides in
Chambersburg, Pa. with her two year old daughter, Micaiah
and enjoys spending her free time reading, shopping,
traveling and cooking.
The Center for Independent Living of Central Pennsylvania
is a nonprofit, nonresidential organization established for
and by people with disabilities and serves Cumberland,
Dauphin, Perry, Mifflin and Juniata counties. CILCP's vision
