The PA Access Program is a combined effort among the Department of Community and Economic Development, the Department of Public Welfare and PA Housing Finance Agency to provide low and moderate-income residents, with permanent disabilities, increased accessibility in their homes. Modifications to their homes will prevent institutionalization and enable people with disabilities to remain in their community.
Currently, in the CILCP's service area, Dauphin, Cumberland and Mifflin Counties have applied for funding to implement the PA Access Program. (As a side note: Lebanon County has a locally funded access program called Lebanon County Handicapped Access Program.)
The CILCP's role in this program is to provide assistance to people with disabilities in the application process through to the closing.
