The CILCP's Training and Outreach Project (TOP) focuses on two major areas:
Training which consists of in-house training to provide mandatory and general training for the CILCP staff including Personal Care Attendants. Trainings are to ensure all staffs are in compliance with federal & staff laws and program requirements. Also, staff development trainings are developed to enhance all staff skills and abilities to better serve our consumers. Trainings are conducted on an ongoing basis through out the year.
Outreach is another important part of TOP. It is an ongoing effort to reach and inform the community about the CILCP programs and services. This is accomplished through community events, group presentations, township meetings, and small area expos. Another means of connecting with the community at the CILCP is by use of teleconference and web casts sponsored in-house several times per year on various topics. Information regarding these activities and others are distributed throughout the CILCP's service area.
